C’est officiel (et triste), le Canadian National est annulé pour 2020!

L’annonce faite hier par MDGA n’a peut-être rien de surprenant, mais la situation Covid19 aura fait un cas de plus: Le plus bel événement Disc Golf de l’année dans l’Est du Canada (sûrement –au Canada—), le Canadian Nationals (A-Tier), est annulé pour 2020.

Sur une note un peu plus positive, un événement renommé 2020 Maritime Championships viendra remplacer ce premier. Cependant, ce sera uniquement pour les joueuses et joueurs habitants les régions des maritimes (Ile du Prince Édouard, Nouveau Brunswick, Nouvelle Écosse, Terre-Neuve/Labrador). Pour les autres, les remboursements des inscriptions commenceront dans les prochains jours.

In case you did not receive the email regarding Nationals this is the latest update.
Well, the day we tried to avoid has come. After another meeting with PEI government officials and adding some new restrictions to mixed grouping and more Covid-19 rules on top of the current set of restrictions we already have, we feel the event will not run at the level of excitement and fulfillment that we all want it to have.
The Canadian Nationals group of TD’s have decided that we will cancel the 2020 Canadian Nationals event for all players residing outside of the Atlantic Canada bubbled region (Prince Edwards Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador) and we will rename it the 2020 Maritime Championships.
We are clearly heartbroken not to be able to bring you this fine event in 2020. Refunds will be coming over the next few days.
We will see you all in 2021!
